About Us

The family partnership TMS Support was set up in 2000 to provide specialist support for  vocational qualifications within the Health and Social Care sector. Since that time Tom has successfully worked with a wide range of organisations and continues to provide services in this field.

Part of the early development of TMS was to set up a company website, this formed the starting point for our first community website called NVQweb; a one stop shop providing support and resources for all with an interest in NVQs in Care. Our perception at the time was that individuals involved in this area had a need for a safe place to meet informally, share practice and ask for help. It also indulged Tom's interest in computers! Over time NVQweb has seen continuous development and now supports the wider generic NVQ and the new QCF community. Whilst NVQ qualifications are now apparently past their sell by date, NVQweb remains, as ever, a very popular site.

The experience gained with community websites has now become an important part of our service and we now have several exciting new developments.

  • HSCDiploma.org.uk - for all interested the new Health and Social Care Diploma
  • Careworkmatters.com - A community for everyone who works in and values health and social care
  • Apprenticeshipweb.org.uk - a place to network for everyone interested in apprenticeships
  • Schoolnurse.org.uk - An informal site for those working in School Nurse services
  • htsp.org.uk - a web site for the churches of Holy Trinity and St Patricks in Nottingham

TMS Support is a family partnership run by Corinne and Tom, now with the support of Lauren and Daniel. Whilst TMS is run as a business, its aims and values reflect a philosophy of sharing and helping others. This reflects Tom & Corinne's desire to run their business in a way that reflects their own personal Christian beliefs.
